In 1978, the Club held it’s first Horticulture Treasure Hunt. Read a description of this first Treasure Hunt and the magnificent poems that provided the clues for this first hunt. Three hostesses opened their gardens and club members used the clues to identify specimen trees and shrubs in some of Wilmington’s most extraordinary gardens. It was the inspiration for the Horticultural Treasure Hunt held in September 2019 at the Fall Garden Party held at Betsy and Robert McCoy’s home.
